About a week ago I had some work done by AAA Electrical and here is my letter to them stating the facts:

This fax it to list my grievance in writing with your company.
For the last 5 days I have been in communication with your company namely Wendy and Mia. I believe a mistake has happened when Lester came out to my property on Sunday 04 Jan 2009. I have been charged ZAR2844.30 for a 10 minute installation of a R450.87 part. This is in excess of a 600% mark up of the part. The part that was installed was an Earth Leakage switch. I have since learned that there is a part that is ZAR917 which has load protection. Was the correct part used?
My question is simple: Was the correct part put in and you are correct in charging a 600% mark up for a 10 minute job? Or is it a misunderstand and the incorrect part was installed as a earth leakage with a load protection should have been installed?
Wendy has not returned my calls nor has she found the paper work for my case. I have been called by Mia who seems to believe that I have been undercharged! This is crazy and I would like confirmation that my invoice and charge and part is correct if not I would like it rectified.
If this is indeed the case I will be adding to the list of complaints for your company found on hellopeter.co.za among other things. We have made payment promptly and have been professional in all dealings with your company and would appreciate the same from you in the form of an urgent resolve/ reply to my query.
